1136: Decolonizing the Food Chain

Can the food chain be decolonized?

There are 7.5 billion hungry people living here on planet earth.

Some of those people still have the wherewithall to grow or hunt down the food they eat. But a good many of us can’t feed ourselves, and so must buy the food we need from others.

The business of growing, processing and selling food has become dominated by a relatively few very big businesses.

Those who want to grow their into the business of food must find some way to compete with those who have become big enough to control and dominate the marketplace.

Today, we are going to talk with folks who are looking for a way to fight their way into the business of food– by decolonizing the food chain…

So pull up a chair, freshen your coffe, and get ready for an hour of what’s- eating-what radio Food Chain Radio… as we ask…

Can the food system that feeds billions be decolonized?
