The recipe for Ultimate Green: Take carbon dioxide from the atmosphere and mineral elements and water from the earth and, with the magic of photosynthesis, turn them into oxygen and food.

The business of using photosynthesis to cook up oxygen and food is called agriculture, which as we know from the 1rst Law of the Food Chain, is the foundation upon which we build all our sand castles.

But to conduct agriculture on an industrial scale, we must use machinery that runs on hydrocarbons, the burning of which releases carbon dioxide into the atmosphere where, some say, the gas promotes global warming.

To reduce global warming, California passed the Global Warming Act of 2006 which dictates that industry, including agriculture, will have to reduce its emissions of carbon dioxide beginning in 2012.

However, the easy times of 2006 have become the hard times of 2010, and unemployment in California is now reported to be 22%. Thus a new California Proposition is on the table, 19 by number, that would if passed, delay the implementation of the Global Warming Act until unemployment is reduced to 5%.

This contest between global warming fighters and job seekers leads us to ask…

Can we end global warming and work the farm?

This from Jim S...

This leads us to ask... How much CO2 is released, or what percentage of CO2 gases are released from one volcanic eruption?

What global climate reporting stations were no longer in operation world-wide that have changed the global climate reports? A hint, Russia no longer was contributing to "Global Climate Statistics" according to the U.S. Navy
Oceanographic and Atmospheric World Climate Statistics.

Is the global ice sheets expanding or receding? Let's all review the facts again...
Just for discussion's sake, what if global warming or global cooling truly exists, [which it does] what percentage of global gases does CO2 represent currently?
Of the 3% of CO2 global gases only 3-4% of that three percent of that 3% may actually man made contributions. So, what is creating more CO2 a volcano or all of man made or created CO2?

Lastly, not all data supports the findings that point to man-made CO2 is the direct cause of global warming. Does California have its facts right or is this political?
How much CO2, in terms of percentages of all Global gases is produced by other sources than man-made gases? Do plants utilize CO2 to produce Oxygen?
Does our planet require Oxygen to sustain life?

The bigger question should be, what will California do with all of the expired car batteries and the expired CFL Mercury based light bulbs?

What will the Federal law enforcement and oversight look like if California's Prop.19 if it passes?

Reality checks are coming...

Global Warming is a myth it is just another way of getting more taxes. If you look up \"Angels Don\'t Play this HAARP you will find the answers to this hoax. When it was proven there was no global warming they changed it to \"Climate Change\" and HAARP answers all the questions about that. Look up Chemtrails as well.

There are not many efficient ways to do the farming thing that we can imitate. Hard to believe that we can legislate around positive market pressures.

This from Keith...

AB 32 (California's so called greehouse gas bill) is an economic disaster for our state. Government bureaucrats are the last people I want looking over my shoulder on any additional "flakey bills" like this. This is precisiely why reasonable California residents have introduce Proposition 23, which effectively stops AB32.
