655 IF PLANTS CAN TALK, CAN THEY ALSO FLIRT?

Two decades after the Prince of Wales was scorned for suggesting plants can respond to human speech, science is proving plants can actually talk.

This proof is offered by esteemed scientists like Dr. Bruce McClure at the University of Missouri’s Interdisciplinary Plant Group, whose work demonstrates how plants must communicate with each other to determine with whom they should, and should not, mate. And by Dr. Richard Karban at the Univesity of California, Davis, whose work proves that plants talk with each other to warn of danger.

The work of these scientists will likely come as a surprise to many, who think plants to be dumb organisms.

But if the science is true, it leads us to ask some very interesting questions, like…

If plants can talk, can they also flirt? And, if plants can flirt, can they not be sentient?
